Software Update to Royal Mail MailMark™ for your DM220i Series Mailing Machine.
Software Download / Installation Process
Follow the step-by-step process below to ensure that this update is downloaded and installed on your system successfully. The instructions provide the Control Panel displays and operator instructions for each step of the process.
The total upgrade time takes between 30 minutes and 1 hour from start to finish; dependant on your connection method.
Step 1 If you are not already connected, connect your meter as you would when adding postage:
LAN Connection with Network Adaptor
PC Connection with PC Meter Connect Desktop Application
Analogue Phone Line Connection
Warning: If using a phone line shared with another machine such as a fax, unplug the phone cord from the fax and connect it to the meter. This will ensure the meter is not interrupted.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. If you are using an analogue telephone connection it is advisable to either change to a LAN connection or install PC Meter Connect software on your computer before updating the software go to the website below for more information.

2. It is advisable to carry out the update of your machine during the morning as this will cause least disruption to you during your busy mailing period.
3. If you encounter errors or connectivity problems during Step 3 simply reboot the system, during other steps select ‘Try Again’.
4. There are multiple connections required to complete this update; Mailmark rates for 2014/15 may not download at this time, you will need to make another connection when these become available.
Step2 At your meter, carry out a Balance Enquiry:
Step 3 Get software update:
Do not unplug your power cord or disconnect your connection to the PB Data Centre at any time during this process. This could cause damage to your meter and require replacement.
Step 4 Make a Second Connection to complete software update
Note. After completing the update your meter’s display may indicate time is being adjusted and instruct you to wait, this may take some time to complete. Once complete, the meter will automatically return to the Home screen. Do not remove power during this process.
Step 5 Make a Third Connection to download your Mailmark 2014/15 rates.
Your new rates will be available for the rate change on 31st March 2014

You have successfully updated your meter to Royal Mail MailMarkTM.
Note: If you use the Accounting function on your machine, you will need to turn this back ON as during the update process Accounting is temporarily turned OFF.
To turn Accounting On, Go to Options, Page Down once,
Select Turn features On/Off.
Select Accounting, and then select either Standard Accounting or Inview Accounting dependent on your requirements.
